{SS} Die-cut Foiled Burlap Bags

Hello Sweeties and HAPPY Saturday!!
I've been on foiling kick, ever since I made my hubby's Valentine's Day card.
It is so much fun and SUPER easy too!!
So I found out that I could foil material!!!  Yes!!!!
I grabbed the most intricate dies from SweetStamps: Flourish Medallions and Mini Medallion and I put this kit to the test.  The Deco Foil Iron Adhesive Sheets: includes5 sheets of bonding paper and parchment  paper too.
My girlfriend, Jennifer sent me these bags that she told me she picked up from Michaels for my birthday.  The instruction how to use this is every simple.  I used dies, so I placed the parchment paper down first, them the rough side of the bonding paper and then my die.  Ran it through my cutter.   Since these dies are so intricate, it took a little bit of work to get the bonding paper out.
I made sure that the parchment paper was removed from the back of the bonding paper.  Placed the die cut on my burlap bags, sandwiched between two sheets of printer paper and ran it through my laminator!!!  I did run it through my laminator!!!  It was thin enough to feed through with no problem.  So try this at your own risk!!!  :)  Once it cooled, I removed the paper that's on top of the bonding paper.  So by running it through the laminator the first time, we simply bonded/adhered it to the burlap bags, now by removing the thin sheet will expose the adhesive to allow the foil to stick to it!!!  As you can see in the photo above, the far right photo is what it looks like once the paper is removed!!  :) I chose Deco Foil Lime, I trimmed a section of the foil, sandwiched again between the two printer paper and ran it through again.  Let it cool for a few second and lift the foil to reveal the beauty of the foil!!  :)
Here is a photo of the completed bags!!!!
I have a new addiction and I am loving it!!!

Thank you for swinging by today and make sure you stop by SweetStamps tomorrow, for the start of our new monthly challenge.

Hugs.

{SS} Floating Snowflake Ornament

Good mornin sweeties!
Today, I am sharing a Christmas ornament that I made using some awesome product from SweetStamps, for our new "Anything But A Card Challenge"
These were so easy and so much fun to make that I ended up making 6 for my tree this year.
Isn't it gorgeous!!!
I heat embossed the largest snowflake in the Picollo Snowflake Accent set with Aged Pink Enamel Powder, which I love because it carries specks of white and gold in the mix.
I then used Tiny Snowflake Border and some white Stazon ink and stamped the back portion of the ornament.
I added glitter glass to the bottom of the bulb before sealing it closed.
Added a burlap bow and tied with a  couple of mini jingle bells.
I then adhered it a dab of hot glue.

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again on Monday!
Until next then.

Hugs.

{SS} Pretty Packaging

Happy New Year everyone!!
I am so happy to be back in a somewhat full affect blogging mode.
I LOVE anything kraft!!  I love that you can do so much with it and my project today is a perfect example of that.  I bought these kraft bags, for sending gifts and little "thank you's" to some of my crafty friends.  The bags themselves are pretty bland, but you can dress it up in no time at all.

I used White Dye ink and Braided Flower Border, to create the bottom design of the bag.
Easy right?!?!?  You can do this with practically any border stamps.  I love my SweetStamps stamps and love finding new ways to use them.
The tag was super fun and also very simple to create.   I stamped Tree Gift Tag with the same White Dye ink, onto kraft cardstock.  I trimmed around the stamp to leave a thin border of kraft on the outside.  Then I used my Copic markers (YG67, 17, 25) to color the tree.  I added clear gems and those too were then colored with Copic (V17, BG45, R27, YR18, Y38).

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you can join this weeks challenge:

{IBS} Have a SWEET Day

Good morning Calypso here with a pretty rolled cupcake gift box to share with you today.
This being my last post with Inspired by Stamping, I would like to express and HUGE "Thank You" to Joanna Munster, for being an unbelievable friend and amazing 'boss" to work for.  I've had 2 amazing years with Inspired By Stamping and I will miss everyone very much.
I usually pick up these brown paper bag boxes from Michael's and hang on to them for those moments when you may just need it.  You never know when, but they are great to just have on hand.  I cut 2 inch Styrofoam ball in half and adhered it to the top of the box, which created the dome shape.
All the rolled flowers are cut out of the Spring Lilac Papers. I had tons of bits of pieces of this collection, that I just couldn't part with.  So I had to put them to great use.
Once I rolled all the flowers I dipped a third of them in glass glitter of two different colors. The flowers that were not embellished with the glitter, I added a flat back pearl to those centers.
Spring Lilac Papers was used to decorate the lid and the base of the box as well.
I stamped the the Petite Banner stamp set in a coordinating ink color and pushed a pin through the side to hold it.  I hope that you have enjoyed my project today.

Would like to share this project in the following challenge(s):

IBS + 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #205: Crazy Egg-Anything Goes

Hello...Hello!!
I know...Please do not be mad!!!  With all these new releases going on this week, I have mixed up my posting dates!!  Argh!!!  I've gotten it all straightened out now!!

Today, I say farewell to the lovely ladies at 4 Crafty Chicks!
It has been 5 wonderfully amazing weeks!! Leanne, Lori, Tina and Tamie...
Thank you so much for having me!!  This is not good-bye..It's a simple, I'll see you again soon!!
This weeks challenge is: ANYTHING GOES and I decided to do something a little different.
I've been wanting to play with the wood burning kit, my husband bought me a few months ago.  I saw this being done some time ago and I've had it on my to-do-list for ages.
I bought this chest from Michael's awhile back and it looked like the perfect canvas for this project. I had no idea what I was doing and how well it would turn out, so here went nothing!
I stamped the flower from Friends Forever by Inspired by Stamping using a light colored ink.  Once you start burning the wood, the ink is no longer apparent or noticeable.
I sanded the top before I got started.  Once I finished tracing the the flowers, I colored it with my Copic markers.
I went back and sanded the the image again....The color seemed really bright, so I colored washed the entire box with a watered down white paint. I wiped down the box with a dry cloth.
Love the final results.
Love the simplicity.

Hope you well come us this week...I know everyone LOVES an anything goes challenge.  Have a great week and I will see you soon.

Hugs,
