For my project this week, I decided to make a corner book marker!  I have not made theses in so long, that I almost forgot how to make them!!  LOL.  They are fairly simple to make and it's a fun way to dress up the page in your book, while it awaits your return!!  :)

{SS} #189: Think of You

Good morning!!
This weeks challenge over at SweetStamps, is ALL about DIES!!!  Dies....Dies..and DIES!!
I have a HUGE collection of dies!!!  They are just one of items, that do NOT take up too much space, and you can use them in so many ways and with so many different material.

I just love my card today!!!  I've been hanging on too this beautiful and extremely soft felt for sometime and I figured it's to cute it up and put it to some good use.  I am using the SweetCuts Die: Cute Owl.  I cut the owl 3 times, so that I could get the different colors and layers.  The belly is created by layering some vintage lace I had, then sewing the layers together and trimming the edges. 

Added the cute little SweetCuts Die: Mini Flower. The sentiment is from the SweetStamps: Simple Greetings.

{SS} #164: Easter

Good morning!
Can you believe how fast the month is going?!?!  I can't believe we are in April already!!
I am here this morning to share a project I created for this weeks challenge over at SweetStamps.
This weeks theme is:
Easter

This card consists of 3 different stamp sets!!  Yes three!!!  The only fussy cutting I did was creating the mask for the images, but those can always be reused if stored properly.
I love Easter and we normally have plans to head up North to the cabin, but we decided that with everything we have going on this month, we would put it off for a bit.

Here is a close up of the image and how beautiful the image looks when created in layers. 

It did take me several attempts to get the position just the way I wanted it.  I have to say it was well worth the hassle.  :)

SweetStamps #150: Something New

Good morning sweeties!

Well I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday.   Me and mine are all currently sick with everything that is linked to a cold or flu!!  It is horrible!!  So I really hope that you all are doing much better than we are at the moment.   

Can you believe that today is New Years eve?  In a few hours, we will be celebrating the New Year!

Which brings me to today's challenge over at SweetStamps. 

This weeks theme is: 

SOMETHING NEW

For my project today, I am using a new frame that was sitting on my desk, new flower blooms from my blogging sister and a new stamp!  The frame, my husband picked up from Michael's awhile back.  It was for another project that I had in mind to work on.  I covered the frame with a primer and once it dried, I stamped and embossed the corner foliage.  I couldn't find my black paint, so I used my chalkboard paint!

I have added lots little details, that can't be seen just by looking at theses pictures. 

The die cut leaves have Inka Gold rubbed on them, which add beautiful shimmer.  In the inside lip of the frame, there is a crystal bling laid all along the inside.

*SweetStamps September Technique Month

Good morning-

Are you ready for this month's technique challenge over at SweetStamps!!

I hope you are because it's a fun one and one that I love doing often. 

This months technique is all about:

Paper Piecing

I really love how my card today came together.  Love all the colors matted on kraft cardstock.

For my card, I am using Baby Bear 219 and With Love 3041

I used Soleil by Basic Grey patterned paper for my entire card!!!

The patterned and colors are very non-traditional in pattern, so I was determined to make it work!!

****A tip when Paper Peicing, small or big peices of paper.  Before adhering you peices together, run a black marker along the edges of your paper. This will give a more complete and clean finish to your project.****

*SweetStamps Challenge #133: Butterflies

Morning sweeties-

So, were you lucky enough to have the day off yesterday?

If so, hope you enjoyed the day off, with some good and relaxation.

So today at SweetStamps, we have a brand new weekly challenge for you!!

This weeks theme is:

BUTTERFLIES

For my cards today, I kept them very simple with lots of white space. 

I am using a brand new SweetCuts die called: Butterfly Window.
This is such a unique and wonderful die to have, for anyone for love butterflies.
I masked the edges of my paper and rubbed the distress inks to create the background. 

For the first card, I used white cardstock to cut the image and then filled the empty spaces with black cardstock, which were leftovers  from the card below. 

The sentiment is from another newly released stamp set: Swirly Doodle Butterflies

Just love the way this looks and the colors are so bold .

Really love this butterfly die.  This has become a new favorite of mine!
