Black Magic

Good morning sweet friends-
Oh what a week...what a week!!
I'm actually getting caught up on some projects and I need to because, we have just decided to MOVE!
How I dislike moving...I LOVE to organize, but moving is awful!!
So this will all be taking place the first of December, so I am trying hard to work ahead.

Moving on...
Today at SweetStamps we have a fun technique for you to try.
This weeks theme is:
BLACK MAGIC
Here is my card sample.

This technique is new to me and I LOVE it.
I stamped my image using white pigment ink, onto black cardstock.
Now here is the fun part...You can color the white space with either chalks, copics or colored pencils.
I used Prismacolor pencils on my card.  I also learned through the process that it is best to use an image that is not so detailed, it's really hard to color with color pencils.

So there you have it...I hope that you will take the challenge and join us this week.
Make sure to stop by the blog too and see what the other sweeties have created.

Pumpkins 25 cents

Hi everyone-
I told you I was going to be late again!!!
I just didn't think it was going to be this late..Argh!!
But I guess better late than never.

So this weeks challenge over at Sentimental Sundays is:
PUMPKINS
As long as there is a pumpkin on your project, you can enter this weeks challenge and do not forget your sentiment!!! So this week we have two wonderful sponsors for you.  First we have Whimsy Stamps and next Paper Crafting World.  I used a cut file from PCW called Bear in Pumpkin Patch, for my card this week.
Isn't he darling!!  I have been neglecting my Silhouette and I had to take this opportunity to turn it on again this week.  Now the files from PCW are so easy to use on the Silhouette, it took me 3 mins to cut out all these pieces...now assembling and creating the circle step card...HA..that's a different story!! LOL
Here's a shot from the side and back step!!

Special Fundraiser: Wristbands for Makayla

Hello everyone-
Today I am helping spread the word for Bonnie's granddaughter Makayla and her family.

Subject: Wristbands for Makayla

Our 8 year old niece, Makayla Brown, was hit by a car on September 30, 2012.  Makayla was helping her dad, Eric, on their church's bus route when she was struck by a Dodge Durango.  Makayla was flown from Great Falls, Montana to Seattle, Washington where she is still in critical, but stable condition.  Makayla suffered from multiple broken bones and has significant brain injuries.  Thank the Lord though that Makayla is recovering slowly and she is starting to re-gain some of her body and brain functions!  However, she still has a long road of recovery ahead of her and she will be in the hospital for several more months.  As a result, silicone wristbands are being sold to help the family with the additional costs of travel, lodging, and medical expenses.  The wristbands are only $5 each.  A digital proof of the wristband is attached to this email.  Pink and purple are Makayla's two favorite colors and Psalm 46:10 is a Bible verse that our family has really clung on to during this time.  The wristbands come in two different sizes: 1) Adult which is 8 inches around and 2) Youth/Lady which is 7 inches around.  If you are interested in purchasing a wristband or making a donation, let us know.  If you have any questions or would like to purchase a wristband or make a donation please email Bonnie: {Bonzi100 at sbcglobal dot net}
 Thank you!
Scott and Billie

Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping in anyway that you can.

Many blessings,
Calypso

Happy Halloween

OMG...
I am running so late with my post today and I will be for the rest of the week.

I am here to share a card I made for this weeks challenge at Sentimental Sundays which is:
Halloween
I love how this turned out!!
The patterned papers are from K&Co..which is an old paper pack that I bought last fall, that were buried under tons of other stuff.  It's fun finding old stuff, because its like new again. :)

The is image is called Puppy Magic from Designed 2 Delight, who is our fabulous sponsor this week, along with Little Darlings.  Image colored with Copics and background colored with distress inks.  The sentiment stamp is from an old stamp set.  I have to locate the name then, I will list it . The spider web border was created with my Silhouette Cameo. Then I ran it through my Xyron and pure glitter over it. I am really getting inspired to start including more and more pieces in every project that I do.  My goal for next year will be to create at least one page layout a month.  I know I may be jumping ahead of myself, but I'm getting prepared.
(If my card does not qualify for The Cameo Spotlight Challenge, please feel free to delete my entry.)

So I hope that even though I am late with this posting, you will come by Sentimental Sundays and join in our Halloween fun.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Tah Tah for now.
