Now, onto my project today . . . . 

Isn't that box, just filled with layers of goodness!!
Love everything about this and I am so pleased with the results.
Well I thought I would show you how I made my flowers using these gorgeous velvet buttons.

 I stamped Cabbage Rose in Rich Cocoa ink unto muted brown tissue paper.
I covered the entire sheet just stamping randomly.
I then folded the tissue paper in 4 times.

Once I ran it through the die cut machine, I separated them and assembled. 

The tissue paper is very delicate so, when separating be very careful and gentle.

I think the idea is great, as I am always looking for ways to use my stamps.

Now, in my home...I am the only girl!!  :) 

Counting my dog, there are four different loving boyish personalities that run this household.

So I know I am always, always, looking for a perfect card to give for those little moments and occasions. 

I love clean and simple cards and that is what I aim towards when making my masculine cards. 

Since they are all into fishing, I thought this card would be perfect for  one of them.

For my card today and I am using an image from our sponsor: BugaBoo Stamps: Sunbonnet Fish 2 and I paired it with "relax", which is from Scribbles Designs: #047 Words sentiment pack.

SweetStamps Monthly Challenge

Hello everyone-

It's the 15th of the month and that means it's time for another technique challenge over at SweetStamps.

This months challenge, I LOVE and it's so much fun. 

The theme for this months challenge is:

CHALKBOARD TECHNIQUE

I had so much fun with my card and love the way it came out as well. 

The image I am using today is called: Chalkboard.  How appropriate for this weeks challenge right?!?!

I had school on the mind, since today was my sons last day!!! I say that with a HUGE sigh of relief too!! :) 

I edged all my patterned paper with antique linen distress ink, before sewing it all down to the Scarlet cardstock.  I love this patterned paper and had tons of scrap, so I decided on creating a block card!! 

Love it!!!  I inked the Chalkboard stamp with SweetStamps white dye ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I was planning on coloring the little figures, but decided that I loved it, just the way it stands.

SweetStamps #121

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I am running a bit late today!! :( 

It is time for another themed challenge over at SweetStamps. 

This weeks challenge is:

PARCHMENT CRAFT

Now when I was first introduced to Parchment Craft, I was lost!! 

Then once I tried it, I LOVED it!!  It is and can be a tad bit time consuming; however, the results are just stunning.  I need to remind myself that I need to purchase some more grid/pattern plates. 

For my card today, I am working with  SweetStamps Parchment Crafting Kit and Dot Butterfly, which is really perfect for parchment craft. 

I stamped the Dot Butterfly, using the white dye ink, onto the parchment paper and embossed with white embossing powder.  I turned the image over and using the staggered grid plate and small stylus, I created the dots you see all around the butterfly.  Now....You can quickly rub the stylus over the grid, but you will not get the same results, if you just take your time and actually puncture each hold on the grid.  Like I said, the process can be time consuming, but the results are beautiful.  I stamped and embossed a second flower and cut out just the side wings, to create an extra layer.  I added ice white liguid pearl to the wings and the border of the card.  Creating these dots, do take a steady hand, which I have come to find out, I do not have!!  LOL!

Flying by...

It's Sunday and I LOVE my Sundays!!!

I am playing catch up today!!

Whew....Lots to do, with such little time!

That has been the story of my life lately!!! :) 

So today at Sentimental Sundays, we want to see "Metal" on your projects. 

Brads, charms, corners, wire...silver, copper , colored or pewter!!

We want to see any and all. 

We are being sponsored this week, by Rick St, Dennis and we were generously given images to play with this week.  I chose to work with High Flyin Mouse.

Is he coooooool or what?

My Buddy loves planes, so when I saw this image I knew it would make a perfect (future) birthday card!

I colored the image using Copics and tried a new color combination, for making the plane look rustic!

I think it came out pretty good.  I'm pretty proud of myself!!

My patterned paper is from Glitz and the sentiment is from IBS:The Sky's The Limit stamp set. 

It worked perfectly with the image!

IBS June Release: Say it in French

Morning!!

It's day 3 of, Inspired by Stamping June release. 

Have you been following along?

Have you decided which set is your favorite yet?

Today, I am sharing with you two of the three sets.

I am swooning over these new stamps.

I am using Morning Glory flowers, from the Summer Flowers, that was previewed yesterday. 

I colored them with Copics, but I also stamped them in the background, using versamark ink.

Check out the chicken wire!!! That is one of the new background stamps called: French Country Backgrounds.  I stamp the chicken wire onto actual chalkboard paper and embossed with white embossing powder.  I love this new paper, because it makes the embossed image really stand out.  

How about that sentiment!!!  

You know, I am all about my sentiments and this will be my first stamp set in another language!!  

I am now the new and proud owner of: Big Notes in French II!!! :)

IBS June Release: Summer Flowers

Good morning-

Welcome back to day 2, of Inspired by Stamping hop.

Did you check out yesterdays release?  No worries, click HERE.

So, yesterday I told you how this months release was my favorite....did you see why!!

Wait til you see the next stamp set.

Now, I LOVE anything flowers!!!

It doesn't matter the size or type of flower!!!  I love them all. 

Now, Joanna has created this AMAZING set called: Summer Flowers. 

This set includes Dahlias, Zinnias, Pansies and so much more.

Let's take a peek at my sample card.

I love...love this card and the it's entire composition!!

I stamped Fancy Labels 2 on white cardstock and embossed with black embossing powder. 

I stamped the frame again on regular printer paper.  I cut out the center oval and placed it over the already embossed frame.  It's best to use printer paper when creating masks, because it's not bulky and you will get clean lines.  Once I had the mask, I stamped the flower inside the frame.  Flower and background were colored using Copic markers. 

Now, check out the background. Do you  see the lightly checkered pattern? 

 Well if you do, great cause that is a new background stamp being showcased tomorrow.

IBS June Release: Congratulations

Good morning-

Welcome to Day 1 of Inspired by Stamping, June Release Hop. 

This month's release is spectacular!!  

I am seriously...They are AMAZING!!

There are two sets being showcased today and I am showcasing Big Congrats stamp set. This 3×4 stamp set contains 6 different sentiments. The photo above shows two sentiments. Congratulations is extra big and stands alone. The other 5 sentiments are separate and great for stamping in a different color or creating a longer sentiment.

So in addition to the sneak peek, here is my sample card using this new and my favorite stamp set.

 My hairdresser just got engaged and this stamped set, made perfect timing for me to make this card. 

Is this not just amazing...Seriously!!  We all know so many folks around us that are either having babies or getting married!!  Right?!?!  Well this new stamp set covers 5 important events, that takes place in everyday life.

I am falling in love with these wood veneers too!

I could not resist using the bird cage and two birds, to emphasize the love between these two couples. 

I also used the word "LOVE" from Little Flowers stamp collection.  I did this to show you how wonderfully these stamps correlate with any of the other stamps sets carried at Inspired by Stamping.
