IBSIC #48: Hello

Good day everyone-
Oh...What an eventful week this has been!!
How has your week been so far?  We have had amazing weather here lately too.
I think Spring is around the corner and I can't wait.

Today is another challenge week over at Inspired By Stamping.
Here is this weeks photo/color inspiration.
It definitely screams spring doesn't it.
I of course used the colors for my inspiration but I gravitated towards the round plate on the table, that has the glass dome on top of it.
Here is my card:
This beautiful layered flowered was cut out with my Silhouette.
I used Cute Circles, to stamp and embossed with clear embossing powder.  You can barely see it in both the pictures that I have taken but, trust me it's there!!!  LOL I also used the sentiment from the same set.
Here is a close up of the flower and stamp sentiment.  Paper is from MME and the butterfly is from Prima.
(I just noticed that I nicked one of my folds)
1 randomly selected winner this week will receive 2 package of flowers of their choice!

I love You w/ Gus the Worm

Good morning-
Well our warm 80 degree weather only lasted about 3 days.
We rain and gray skies all day yesterday...it really puts a damper on the day.
Argh...

Anyways...Today is my very first official post for Sketchy Friday Challenge.
I love Sonia's images, they are so perfect for my little ones and so versatile for sentiments too.

Here is this weeks sketch:

For my card today I am using Gus The Worm Holding A Heart.
You can find him in the SKdigi Store, by clicking HERE
Also, you don't have to have to use a SKdigi in order to play in the weekly sketches, all and any other companies are welcomed.  There are however FREEBIES up for grabs too.
One more thing, before I leave you today, Sonia has a Blog Candy currently available on her site, click HERE, for more details.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my sketch and I hope that you will join us.
Looking forward to seeing your creations.

SS: #138-Negative Space

We are BACK....
Yes, Sentimental Sundays is back from break and off to a fantastic start.
Wow...those few weeks went by so fast...I almost need just one more week to get caught up and really ready.  LOL...don't we always need a little more time these days?

Well I am excited about days challenge and sponsor.
This week we are being sponsored by Chickydoddle.
Winnie, the owner has amazing goodies on her store.  If you are into washi tapes, twine, boxes...she's the gal to go see. I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed and she ships fast too!!  The design team is playing with some Washi Tapes Petite and I am HOOKED!!  This is my first experience with washi tapes and I love it!!  I LOVE it...so now I understand the crave for these amazing tapes.  Winnie, will be giving a $50 goodie back to this weeks winner.  So if you get a chance, come on by and play along with us this week.

But first, let me tell you this weeks challenge theme.

NEGATIVE SPACE

Now, this is not white and open space. This is the space that is left after you have removed your die cut from the paper. (You can also use your die cut machines.)  Here is what I created for you this week.

Those butterflies were cut out with my Cameo using THIS silhouette file. I only used one of the butterflies, but copied it 3 times and positioned them the way I wanted them.  I think it looks great.  I love the clean lines and the beautiful colors of the washi tape peeking through.

And because I couldn't help it, I had to make another card :)
I told you these tapes are fun...the possibilities are endless.
These are the same butterflies from above. For this card though, the washi tape is on top and the image was then cut out of it!!  Very cool huh.  I could have made another card, but I figured I would hold off on the butterflies for today!!  :) All the cardstock and sentiments used are from Papertrey Ink.

So there you have it folks.  I really hope that you will pay us a visit at Sentimental Sundays this week and take a jump into this weeks challenge.  Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Pumpkins 25 cents

Hi everyone-
I told you I was going to be late again!!!
I just didn't think it was going to be this late..Argh!!
But I guess better late than never.

So this weeks challenge over at Sentimental Sundays is:
PUMPKINS
As long as there is a pumpkin on your project, you can enter this weeks challenge and do not forget your sentiment!!! So this week we have two wonderful sponsors for you.  First we have Whimsy Stamps and next Paper Crafting World.  I used a cut file from PCW called Bear in Pumpkin Patch, for my card this week.
Isn't he darling!!  I have been neglecting my Silhouette and I had to take this opportunity to turn it on again this week.  Now the files from PCW are so easy to use on the Silhouette, it took me 3 mins to cut out all these pieces...now assembling and creating the circle step card...HA..that's a different story!! LOL
Here's a shot from the side and back step!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Back to School at Sentimental Sundays

Hi everyone-
How are you doing?
I (we) are doing well and counting down the days!!
Today I am here to share a project I made for this weeks challenge over at Sentimental Sundays!!
This weeks theme is:
BACK TO SCHOOL
My oldest started 2 weeks ago and being a Sophomore this year, he thinks he's a big man on campus!!!
He knows the ropes, has a great rep with some of his teachers from last year and of course his friends.
This week, we are being sponsored by Doodle Pantry and I used a sentiment from the Book Ants digital pack that were given to play with.
Here is what I created:
A pencil holder, that looks like a pencil!! How cool is that, right?!

So there you have it folks.
A little something to get any little one back to school!!!
make sure to visit the Sentimental Sundays Challenge blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for you this week.

GDT My Sheri Craft Challenge Blog

Hi everyone-
I hope you are having a beautiful Saturday.
We had the strangest weather patterns here yesterday.  It was cloudy, thundering, raining and extremely humid.  The sun was trying to peek through, but there was just no chance of any sunshine.
Anyways...today I am excited to share my Guest Design project that I created for this weeks challenge over at My Sheri Crafts Challenge.
7/21/2012
This weeks challenge is:
"Back N' Forth"
Use an accordion/fan fold as one of your project's elements ...can be simply a strip, fan, rosette -- whatever you imagine!
So here is what I created for you:
MySheriCraftGDT
It's a Happy Birthday cupcake centerpiece.
MySheriCraftGDT2
The topper was created using my Sihouette.  I colored the star in with my Copic and then added some glitter glue and bling.
MySheriCraftGDT1
The cupcake wrapper is 2" tall and pleated at every 1/4".
I used an array ribbon that I had in my stash box...embellished with some rhinestones and used my pearl pen white, to add more bling.  :)

I really hope that you have enjoyed my creation as much as I have enjoyed creating  for this weeks challenge. Come by My Sheri Crafts Challenge, see what the the rest of the team has created and join the fun.  You may be the next guest designer!! :)

Thank you Sheri and team for having me this week.
Thanks for coming by, see you again soon.

Here comes trouble

Happy Sunday everyone-
Today is another simple yet fantastic challenge over at Sentimental Sundays.
This weeks theme is:
SHAPED Cards
(No square or rectangular shaped cards)
and this weeks sponsor is BugaBoo Stamps.

I chose to work with  My Lil Monster- Here comes trouble!
Here is my card sample:

How cute is that!!!  I love that little monster and that sentimental is so cute.
I am thinking of getting some more of the other My Lil' Monsters and creating a bunch of these onesie cards!!!  The green trim on the onesie,  I used Dots and Stripes paper by Echo Park.

A very simple card, but very fun to make!!

I hope that you will pay us a little visit at the Sentimental Sundays blog, either to say "HI" or to join in this weeks challenge.

Have a great Sunday and I will see you soon.

Hugs,
