SFYTT + Just Us Girls

Hello everyone-
Well I thought I had posted this card already early this week, but it seemed to have just been sitting there.
Sometimes, I have question the reliability of Blogger and its settings….HMMMMM!!
Anyways…. I have a really quick card to share with you today.

I used all dies for this creation!!  It was a really easy and effortless process.  I say that only because I did not include any patterned paper.  If I would have thrown that into the mix…oh, believe me this card would have just been sitting on my desk waiting for some type of l-o-v-e.
Here is a close up of the butterfly die creation:

All the dies used in this creation are from: Memory Box, PTI, Spellbinders and C.C. Designs

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
(I used the butterfly sitting on the flowers as my inspiration)
(Circle, dry embossing, punches, floral, favorite color)

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Calypso

This weeks challenge is:
Christmas Parchment

This is my sample:
SS#75
I stamped the image on parchment paper and embossed the image with fine detailed gold embossing powder.  Colored the back of the parchment paper with my Copic Markers.  The colors were not bold enough for me, so I flipped it around and colored the front with my distress inks and I loved the look.
You can still see the gold embossing come through with the distress ink.

Sweet sweet Strawberries

Hello and good morning friends!!
Today, I have a really cute creation to share with you!!
Have you seen, the images that are arriving at All That Scraps?!
OMG....if you haven't...you need to swing by there and check it out!!
They are all incredibly adorable and I know you will find something to love.

I fell in love with Strawberry Beatrice!
She is just so cute and so sweet, with here strawberry hat!!
So with it all the summer fruit and flowers, I had an idea that had to be executed.

Here is what I came up with.
Is this not the cutest thing?
I had this weaved basket sitting on my desk since Easter, when I thought I was going to make an Easter basket for another challenge...but that never happened.
So in any case...I had to put it to use and here it is!!  All spruced up and filled with Strawberry 3D boxes, which were cut out using my Silhouette!!  I love my machine!!

Super cute and super sweet huh??

CropStop #80: Hexagon

Good morning bloggers!
Well I have been on a roll coasters for the last few months and in a few weeks I will share why.
In the meantime, I want to share with you today’s challenge theme over at CropStop.
This weeks theme is:
HEXAGON
Now this shape is no longer just for the bees! It has migrated it’s way into mean beautiful cards and layouts.
Here is my card sample:
CS #80hexagon
I used my Silhouette to cut out the hexagon shaped box and the background on the card.  I had a really hard time placing those small pieces into place.  I had to you a small tweezers and lots of patience!!!
CS#80a
Here is a close up of the card by itself.
ETA:
The "thank you" sentiment is from Lil Inkers Designs, Rainbow and Clouds Sentiments, but they no longer carry it in their store.
CS#80b
And the 3D Hexagon shaped box.
It’s a perfect match if you ask me.
So there you have it…HEXAGON!
As long as we can see the shape you can enter to win a Gift Certificate to the CropStop store.
Thanks for stopping by today and I will see you back here Friday and Sunday!!

Calypso

SweetStamps #72: Resist

Good morning everyone-
I am back today with a card that I made for this weeks challenge at SweetStamps.
This weeks theme is:
Christmas Resist
(heat emboss or wax paper technique)
I chose to go with heat emboss and resist using my distress inks.
Even though my Christmas stamps had not arrived in time, when I started working on my card I still managed to pull off a Christmas card using the Tree #1 stamp that I had.
Here is my card sample:
SS#72
I had to search high and low for my Liquid Applique, which I seem to only bring out during Christmas time.
I stamped the image using SweetStamps French Toast Ink, then dabbed with a cloth to remove some of the color before stamping again with Versamark Ink. I wanted a faint image of the tree, as to show that it’s fully covered in snow.  Then I rubbed Tumble Glass around the image, then around just the outside edge with Stormy Sky.  Applied the applique, let it sit for about an hour then heated it with my heat gun.  I added a big red bow to accent the blue gray tones of the card.
