Love you just the way you are...w/ Baby Bud Nilah

Good afternoon everyone-

I am sharing a card that I made, using Baby Bud Nilah!!  She is just soooo cute.  I love that big bow on the front of her romper.

And of course I had the perfect paper, to go with her jumper.

My Mind's Eye Lime Twist: Happy Go Lucky. 

I LOVE this new lime and the 6x6 pads are just full of beautiful double sided paper.

And for the inside I used my corner punch. 

I also layered the top of the umbrella for a little more added dimension.

This is the gorgeous card I made especially for MaryAnne, which be going in the mail TODAY!!!

The flowers were created uing Spellbinders S5-090.

I colored cream cardstock with Tattered Rose Distress Ink, it matched the paper perfectly.

Baby Bud Easter Treats

Good Morning everyone-

Today I have a special treat for you!!!  Really its extra sweet!!!

I love to bake and cook...but especially baking!!!  The things you can do with cake and chocolate is just impressive and delightful too!!!

My son wanted me to make some treats for school.  And of course he wanted me to make the "Cake Balls" with the stick in them, which are now being called LolliCakes!!  We've been doing cakes balls in our house for a very long time and I like the idea of the lolli sticks, so we gave it a try!!! 

This is my sons batch!!!!  He even colored the Baby Bud Emmy digi on the tag!!! I added the silver gem and punched the holes for the tags.....but everything else was him!!!  Not bad!!!  I was pretty impressed....actually I am VERY impressed!!!  He did a total of 20 and give them to the girls at school!

He's learning early......!!LOL!!!

And this is my traditional batch!!!

I covered a candy box with Pink Paislee Soiree-Floral paper.

It was perfect for these treat boxes....and I used Baby Bud Lil Bud digital image, I just cut the stem off.

I hope that you have enjoyed this sweet treat that my son and I have cooked up for you today.

Baby Bud "Bouquet' Card

Hi everyone-

Today, I wanted to share a card using the so lovely Baby Bud Bouquet.  I made baby announcements for someone last week and I used part of the sample card as my DT card this week.

Isn't she just lovely....I love the colors...it's SU Cameo Coral?!

I think...I will have to go back and check the packaging, just to be sure.

This is a close up of the Prima flower and the binding, who was provided by my lifesaver friend.

If it wasn't for her living down the street from me, I would have to travel far to pick up more binding and I would have been late for my delivery!!  THANK YOU!!!!  The tag  reads: hey, little lady" and that is from Papertrey Ink.

And this is the finished inside of the card.... So what do yo think?!?

Baby Bud Designs: Challenge: Flowers

Good morning everyone-

It's Friday and I am doing the HAPPY dance!!!  Yeah for Friday!!!!

My sister s in town from Florida, today is my niece's 2nd birthday and it's not raining!!!  So much to be thankful for. AND ..... a  brand new challenge over at the Baby Bud Design!!!  AND.... it's FREEBIE FRIDAY!!!  Wow, there is really a lot going on today.

This months challenge is all about FLOWERS!!!  PLEASE remember, that in order to qualify for the monthly prize, you MUST, use a Baby Bud image.   With a Freebie being available, ONLY TODAY...there is no reason why you can't play along with us.

So for my card today, I use Baby Bud Violet.  My post yesterday was about meeting the lovely Margie from The Girls Paperie and loving her new line....well here is some more of that paper, this one is called Vintage Whimsy...and I LoVe it!!  I punched circles and added a border right across middle of the card, pleated some old book paper and laid it on top.  Them sewed it all up!! Made my flower out of some small scraps of lace I had laying around and top it with a button!!  Cute right!?

Baby Bud Designs; Snow Drop

Hi everyone-

I have one more card to show you before the new challenge starts over at Baby Bud Designs on Friday.

This is Baby Bud Snow Drop....she is so adorable. 

This was very easy to put together especially since I love my Spellbinders!!! I used Martha Stewart Binding Ribbon, tied it around the card, tied a bow and added a button!!  The sentiment is from MSE and of course colored with Copic Markers.

Baby Bud "Lil Bud" Card

Happy Monday bloggers!!!

I hope you had a great weekend and that your Monday is off to a fantastic start!!!

I am officially on Spring Break and I will be taking this time to catch up on my DT assignments, participate in as many challenges as I can and work on my layouts!

So today, I wanted to share a card I made with the newest Baby Bud image "Lil Bud". 

I tried just one "Lil Bud", but it felt really lonely my itself, so I had to add more!!

So here it is:

Aren't those a colorful trio!!!  I really am trying hard to make simple and quick cards for everyday use and I think this is a perfect example of one.  I used my scor board to create the lines around the image.

Baby Bud Designs Challenge Card- Daisy

Hello everyone-
I hope that you are having a great weekend, we are actually had great weather yesterday!!!
The boys played with bubbles and had yogurt ice cream.  So we are enjoying it the best we can, because there is a 30% chance of rain on Monday....Yuck!!!

So today, I wanted to share my first attempt at a all white card.  I really like how it turned out and may have to do it again.  This months challenge at Baby Bud Designs is Ribbon and Bows, so that is why you you see all the ribbon on the card.  The ribbon loops around the image was an idea that I got from the the VERY talented Mindy.  Then I added the bow tie to finish the card.  I want to add a sentiment, but I'm not sure of where to put it just yet.  I'll think about it some more.

This is Daisy Baby Bud...She is just darling!  You can find here and all the other gorgeous Baby Bud Designs at The Etsy Shop.  I had to take two pictures of both angels, to show the embossing that is also on the card.  So don't forget to use your Baby Bud images to enter this months challenge, can't wait to see what you create.

Friends with Baby Bud Violet

Hello-

I wanted to share and card I made using Baby Bud Violet.  My intentions were to create a sympathy card, but I couldn't or rather didn't have the right sentiment.  So here is what I came up with.

(Colored with Copics and added detail with Prismacolor .03 marker and Uni-Ball White Pen.)

(Paper is from one of K& Company big paper stacks, kraft cardstock, Spellbinders Lotus die, ribbon and flowers.)

 

(And this is the inside of the card using paper from the K& Company Stack pack, spellbinders Lotus die and sentiment from Hero Arts.)

Baby Bud Designs....2 new releases

Oh I am so excited!!!!! So, so, so excited!!!!!

And these are the cards that i made using these adorable digi's!!

First up is Baby Bouquet:

Isn't she just adorable!!! When I first saw her, I knew that I had to make her somewhat vintage.

I used Flower Soft (Raspberry Fizz) for her bouquet, glossy accent for the ribbon.

I also used  kraft cardstock, Crate Paper (Cottage Collection) patterned paper and brad.  Pinecone Dictionary Flowers and distressed it all with antique and walnut ink. The lace not sure where I got it from, but I love it. The pearl swirl is from Zva Creative.  The sentiment is from MSE Stamps (Friends Always). And of course Copic markers.

And now my second card:

Mister Oliver is so cute!!!  I had so many ideas for this little guy, but I opt on making a tent card after seeing a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

I embossed a piece of acetate paper and added it to the back of the image for a more in depth winter feeling.  I know Spring is approaching, but we are still getting snow in the mountains. 

I used paper from MME Paper Posies and Wonderful Winter Collection. Kraft and Bazzill Cardstock. Frosted Lace Stickles, glossy accents, pearls from Zva Creative, Copics and the sentiment is Hero Arts (Heart to Heart CL160) Stamps. Sizzix (Frost) Embossing folder.

Here is a side view of the embossed acetate.

Baby Buds 'Rose Bud' Card

Hello everyone-

I wanted to hop on and share with you a card I made using Baby Buds 'Rose Bud' digital image.  She is so sweet and so elegant. I really like creating with her.  So I am also trying to keep to the promise I made myself, (to start using my papers!!)  I have a lot of new packs, that still have the seal on them.  I know..... that is pretty bad. 

So I used one Basic Grey Euphoria (Madness and Luster) pattern paper, bazzil basics, kraft, copics, pearls and flowers to create this card.

 Today I decided to share with you a corner bookmark that I made for my son, using Max, who is the newest addition to the Baby Bud family.  

Isn't he just the cutest thing.  I couldn't think of the right sentiment for this bookmark, so I had to create one from scratch.  "Freinds Remember"..... friends remember a lot of things, but in this case...it's where you left off in your book.

Baby Bud Molly!!

Hello everyone-

I hope that you are having a great weekend!!!  Just got back from our walk and remembered that I had to blog, before I got started on laundry and homework!!

So today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for our "FRIENDSHIP" challenge that is going on right now at the Baby Bud Designs Blog, using Baby Bud Molly.  Don't forget that these adorable images are available at the Etsy Store.

And here is a close up of the butterfly that I made using the petals of a flower.

I colored the white pearls black and then added some black dots and random white highlights throughout.

Kinda cute, huh?

And this 3 different size flowers, that have been soaked in Tattered Angel (Lemon Meringue) Glimmer Mist.

Then I just added a pearl in the middle, but the more I look at it, the more I think I may have to add more smaller pearls in the middle!!

Well enjoy your weekend...it's absolutely beautiful here today, makes me remember why I love California.

Freebie Friday @ Baby Bud Designs

Good morning bloggers-

Just a few hours, til we bring in the NEW YEAR!!! We are having friends over, the ones like ourselves who have kids or are pregnant!!! So we will be eating, telling stories and playing our favorite word game!!!

So today I wanted to share a card that I made using today's Friday Freebie at Baby Bud Designs. His name is Kai and he is simply adorable. When I saw him, I was feeling rather down, because of several things that have been occurring around me and my feeling came out on the card.  I made a card to apologize for all the bad things that I have done and/or said!!!  I want to bring in 2011, with all smiles and an open heart.
