JUGS: #231- Weathered Wood Technique

Good morning everyone!!
Today, I am sharing my second card, for my second week at "Just Us Girls".
This weeks its Technique Time!!!  The technique is:
Weathered Wood Background

I have personally never used this technique and I am hooked!!!  It was super easy and the results are beautiful and very effective!!!   Let me show you my card, then I will tell you how I did it!!
I really love how this all came together!!  I kept everything very minimal, because I wanted the background to really show well on my card!!   I scored my kraft cardstock every two inches.  Then I grabbed my white dye ink pad and ran the entire ink pad across the cardstock, from top to bottom. I did this about 2 more times, after which and added a little more ink at the bottom and top of the card.  You could add another color, but I chose to keep just the way it was.  :)

Here is a close up of the layering on the flowers too!!  Gorgeous right!!
My "Happy Spring" sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping: Spring Blossoms

So I hope that you will us this week and give this creative technique a go.
Can't wait to see what you create.

I would like to share this in the following challenge:
Crafting for All Seasons #72

Hugs,
Calypso
