CropStop #70: Animal or Animal Print

Good morning!!
I hope that you are having a roar kind of day!!!
I know I am....I'm waking up to the neighbors hammer, drill and potty mouth, which is not starting my day off on the right foot!!!

Speaking of roaring....
This weeks challenge at CropStop is:
Animals or Animal Print

So  let me show you my card sample:
I love how the card came out!!!
When I saw  "ANIMALS" was our theme, I was a bit lost, because
I didn't really have "ANIMAL" stamps!!  And bugs, frogs...critters don't count.
Then BAM.....
I remembered I had this awesome stamp from  Animal Spirit Stamps: Jaguar
Which I received from one of the workshops I attended while at CHA in January.
I stamped the image on Canvas Stick back paper...several times.
I first colored directly with my Copic markers, but the ink started to run!!
Then I had to think and dig deep...
I found my Claudine Hellmuth mini acrylic paints and colored the image with
two of the lightest colors in the mini acrylic set.
I loved the look, but the colors weren't bold enough for me...so the next day, I had the idea of coloring over the paint with my Copics.  Guess what???
IT WORKED!!!!
I only colored the printed spots on the body, just make him pop a little, because I wanted t=you to still see the paint on the rest of the body.
Once I had the image colored and cut, I went to work in creating the card.
Using Spellbinders Grand Label 11 and distress inks to creating the background.

I hope that you will join us this week and show us your wild side!! LOL!!
