{SD} Clean and Simple

Good morning!!! 

My blog is going to be a little busy today!!   While I was down with the flu, I managed to do a lot of coloring!!  So it's a little head start on being ahead of the game!!  

Today, is the start of our fortnightly challenge over at Sribbles Designs Challenge Blog. 

The theme this week is: 

Clean and Simple

For my first card, I am using Twinkle Lights.  I just love how the bulbs slightly hand over the edge of the card.  The stamped sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps: Say It Loud

Love the boldness of the sentiment and that it does not take anything away from the string of lights. 

My second card, is a little bigger than I tend to color, but I love this image. 

It's called Hearts Truck.  Look ay all those hearts!!!  I love the sentiment for this card too, it's from Unity Stamps: Love In the Air.

{S.S.} Wonderful Warm Wishes

Good morning my crafty friends... It;s been raining since yesterday and I LOVE it, because I don't have to leave the house for nothing!!!  I love the rain, but I really despise driving in it.  I have seen some horrific car accidents while living over seas and the thought of it possibly being me....NAH!!

We are back from break over at Sentimental Sundays and excited to be back too!!!  We have a new sister!!!  Yes and she is a very GOOD friend of mine too, so I am SUPER excited and PROUD that she as accepted to join us at Sentimental Sundays.   Make sure you swing by the blog and say HI!!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Card #3

 Hi everyone-

{SD} Sea, Sand and Surf! Scribbles Designs Challenge #19

Good morning-

Are you having great weather where you are at?  We have but, a little weird weather.  It's been rather humid here, yet it's been pleasantly bearable.  

Scribbles Designs is showcasing some extremely warm weathered card as a reminder that our monthly challenge is is still open for Sea, Sand and Surf projects. 

For my card today, I am using the chilllaxing sunbathing penguin:

I left his face white as too show that he had sunblock lotion on.  I hope that shows!!  and not that I forgot to color in his face!!  LOL

I love coloring sand....The pixelated dots are fun to do!!

{SD} #19: Sea, Sand and Surf!

Hello again-

How is your Monday going so far?!? Busy?  Are you working?

Well I hope that you are at least getting to enjoy the Summer weather. 

Speaking of which, this brings me to the weeks challenge over at Scribbles Designs

So glad to be designing again for Scribbles!!  I love Sandy and the rest of the girls on the team.  They are all so amazing and supportive and extremely talented!!  ;) 

For my card today, I decided to use #207 Brrr Hanging. This is one cool and hip penguin.

I did a little paper piecing on the surfboard and created a wave for him to ride.

{S.D.} #17: Let Them Eat Cake

Hello again-

We have just a few more days for the Scribbles Designs challenge.   This months challenge is: 

Let Them Eat Cake

This month we have a double challenge for you.  Not only do we want you to use food or food related items (i.e. cups, teapots, etc.), BUT we also want you to follow this wonderful palette from Design Seeds when creating your project.  So, stir up your appetite and serve us up some tasty treats.

Here is what I created: 

I tried sticking to the color palette as much as I could!

 The ice cream is layered, but it's difficult to see it in the pictures. 

I have tons of new sequin (which can be found in my Etsy Store) that I have dying to use.  

So I made a shaker box!!  How fun right!!  :)

{SD} #16: Doodle Time (Mid-way Challenge Reminder)

Hello- 

Can I tell you how good it feels to actually post my cards!!  I have a stack of cards just sitting here, that are either completed or missing a few little detail embellishments; otherwise are waiting to be photographed!  So hubby and I planned a day where I would do nothing, but what I wanted to do!!!  Ofcourse I printed a bunch of images, laid in bed, with my basket of markers and caught up on my "Scandal" episodes!! OMG....I started watching late in Season 2, so I started back from the beginning!!  I am HOOKED!!!  Love that show!!

Today is a new challenge over at Scribbles Designs and I am SO HAPPY to be playing along.

I have been so busy, that I have neglected my time towards Scribbles Designs.  :(  Sandy is amazing though, she understands and knows that I am not purposely MIA...She knows what's going on over here!!  So...This months theme is: 

DOODLING TIME

Now Sandy is the QUEEN BEE of doodling!!!  Have you seen her Zentangles?!?!  OMG...They are stunning!!  I wish I could even begin to start, let alone finish something to intricate and detailed.  I will stick to coloring!!! For now anyways!!  LOL  

For my card today, I am using Doodle Flower 7, which is a doodle image.  I could have colored it and left it, but I wanted to play a little.  So after watercoloring my image and cutting it out, I matted it on black cardstock.  I took out my stylus, Copic Opaque White and started to doodle.  

I added dots, stars, swirls and streak marks!!  All doodles right??!?!

 My finishing touch was the sentiment, which is from Hero Arts.  Embossed with white embossing powder on velum and adhered with gold brads. 

Well you still have plenty of time to join the fun!!  So come on over and play.

Good morning again-
The rain has stopped for a bit but, the second half is suppose to be coming and worse than what we've experienced the last 3 days!!  So we are calling it Pizza and movie night marathon!!

Today, is the mid week reminder over at Scribbles Designs.  This months theme challenge is:
Frame It!!

Isn't this the cutest baby image?!?!  This is #102 Baby Pea Pod Girl
I love the green and pink color combination too!!  Not one that I use quiet often, but I ran with the colors from the frame and it came out quiet well!!  :)

Here is a side view of the image, which has been layered 4 times to add depth to the image.

Sandy, congratulations on "ONE" amazing year and just to think it's just getting started!!!

I LOVE..LOVE...LOVE all of Sandy's from images, but this one just makes my heart pitter patter just a little bit faster!!!  He is so "sauve"  looking!!  So my son loves Sandy and even calls her "Auntie" when he refers to her.  I showed him this card and he said , "Mom, can I write a letter to Auntie and send it?"  So you have mail coming from the little guy!! :)
