{S.S.} Make it New (Alter Something)

Rise and shine!!
Happy Sunday to all of you!!
Any exciting plans for the day?  Me? I am hoping to reorganize my crafting supplies today.
This will be a long process, so we are tackling it one box at a time!!

It's Sunday!!!  You know what that means right??
Challenge time over at Sentimental Sundays!!!
This weeks theme:
Make It New
Angie is our hostesses this week and she asked that we alter something...make it new again!!
We are being sponsored by ADFD and were graciously allowed to play with an image from the store.
For my altered creation today, I am using Little Dancer 2.
Be warned, this post is photo heavy!!
So this is my altered box.
Over Thanksgiving weekend we went to San Diego, I stopped at this chocolate store and bought a box of Caramel Sea Salt Chocolate.  Oh...my goodness, my taste buds were heavily satisfied!!
This what the bow looked like when I finished all the chocolate!!  Now you see why I couldn't throw it away!!  The front flap has magnetic pods, to ensure the closure and freshness!!  Which I loved!!

Once the lid is opened, this what it looked like in the inside.
I was planning on trying to use the box, with the dividers, however; the complexity of trying to keep everything together would be rather difficult.

So I just ended up gutting the entire inside to it's bare bones.
I couldn't believe how deep the inside was.  Here is a side by side before and after shot.
The inside of the box is lined with some old flannel paper.  I know...I know, don't even ask me how long, where I got it or how long I've had it!!  This why I need to organize and purge a lot of my stuff.
The frame that the sentiment is in, is from Micheal's.  My hubby got these for me awhile back and thought I would finally put it to good use!! :)  In the photo on the left you can see the fame actually had some chips.
I managed to cover it by rubbing Copped inka gold cream over it!!  It looks really good in real life.  The Copper looks more like a rose gold, which matched the Graphic 45 paper perfectly. The sentiment is from
This is the front of the box!!  I love that butterfly!! Can you see the edges of the box?  I embossed all the edges in gold embossing powder.  It was a bit difficult to do, since it was after thought of mine and I risked overheating and burning the paper, which was already covering in mod podge.
Last look and final picture of my altered chocolate box!! I hope you enjoyed it!!
Before I leave today, my little guy wanted me to take pictures and post his cupcakes that we made this evening for grandma!!  LOL  I can't wait to see his face when I show him on the tablet!!!
Well I hope you enjoyed all the pictures and I hope you will come by and see what the rest of the design team has created!!  You will be blown away!!!
Have an amazing day and I will see you again tomorrow!!

BIG Hugs.
