SweetStamps #115

Happy Tuesday!!
It's Tuesday already!!!! WOW...Time is flying and May is just a few days away.
So it is time for another challenge wee over at SweetStamps.
This weeks theme is:
White on White + One Other Color

Here is my card sample.
I really love the look of white on white and then when you add another color you can make it fit for any personal/favorite occasion.  So as you can see, my plus one is red.
I used quiet a few Cheery Lynn Designs product on my card today.
I embossed a strip of textured cardstock with the CDL Wood Grain Embossing plate and matted it back onto the white textured carstock.  The rolled flowers were cut from vellum and the textured cardstock using Memory Box Pinwheel Posie and I applied Stardust glitter glue, which is my FAVORITE!!  I then cut Fanciful Flourishes, Heart to Heart and Mini Pearl French Flair from the same cardstock.
This is the inside of my card using Mr and Mrs stamp, by SweetStamps.   I stamped the image on vellum/parchment paper.  Added a couple of pearls to finish off the inside.

The greenery were cut using Memory Box dies: Fresh Foliage.  The flowers were created with Prima Marketing flowers, which I have a bucket full and my buttons were from my stash.

Sketchy Friday #16

Happy Friday!!!
It's FRIDAY ya'll, can you believe it?
Where has the time gone?  Hey, I'm not complaining, just looking forward to seeing the sun.

Now, it is time to get sketchy.
Today at Sketchy Friday, it is time for another brilliant sketch.
Here it is:
Don't you love those banners?  I know I do.
I LOVE anything with banners or fishtails.
Here is my sample card.
I love how my card came out.  My gorgeous little fishy was colored 4 times.  I was initially going to go with a more goldfish...then later in the week, I changed my mind.  I decided to add a different color of shading, but that was a mistake. So I recolored the entire image.  I'm so glad I did, because I LOVE it.  You can see a little bit of the orange/yellowish hues peeking out through the blue-ish green.  I cut underwater elements using my Cameo, to create a more underwater scene to my card.

So join us this week and show us what you can do with the this weeks sketch.

Hugs.

Happy Birthday + MOJO #290

Good morning fellow bloggers.
Happy THURSDAY!!

Today, I am sharing a card that I  made using Mojo Monday Sketch and Inspired by Stamping: Delicate Doilies stamp set.  I really enjoy using this stamp set.  You can really make Doilies work for ANY occasion. So this week, I created a fun and bright birthday card.  Usinf lot so f new goodies.
I love the way the doilies look with the gem in the center!! I also added glitter glue around the image and when I look it it now, it's looks like ink transfer...an oopsie or something.  LOL...
I also finished the inside of the card using BIG WISHES II and adding the doilies to the corners of the card to tie the card together.

SweetStamps #114

Happy Tuesday!!
I hope that you are having gorgeous and fabulous weather where you are.
So it is time for another challenge wee over at SweetStamps.
This weeks theme is:
Use 3 of Any Item

Here is my card sample.
I LOVE .... LOVE...this card.
The colors are bold and match the paper so well.
I used Pixie Silhoette, which I simply adore!!!
I stamped the image and embossed it with detail fine embossing powder.
Turning to my distess inks, I grabbed Peeled Paint, Victorian Velvet and Ripe Persimmon and colored the image, using the foam applicator. I trimmed the photo and matted it onto kraft cardstock.
Pulled out my paper pads and saw that BoBunny Garden Girl, matched almost perfectly with my colored image.   Do you know how excited I was!!!  LOL...I was one happy crafter.  I just love it when things just fall into place.  I trimmed three different pieces of patterned paper, edged them with Walnut Ink distress and positioned them on kraft cardstock.  Finished it off by sewing all three pieces and adding flourishes that I cut three times, using MB Fresh Foliage.

So a little recap on all the items that I used 3 times:
3 differnt colors of distress inks
3 patterned paper, from the same paper pack
3 cut of the same flourish die

Birthday Wishes & STB

Hello everyone-
How was your Monday?
Mine was good actually..It was really hot and sunny here.
Which was perfect weather to get some much needed yard/gardening done.
We didn't finish, but at least the work is started!! LOL

Today, I had some time to play and decided to join in the fun over at Seize the Birthday.
I make a card and find myself not loading it in time...NOT this week!!! LOL
So here is what I created.
My image is from, From the Heart: Cupcake Mouse, which comes with a boy and girl mouse!!!
So I have another card already started for next week!!! SWEET!!! :)
I love my burlap stars!!!
When I use to cut them, I found that they seem to fray on me.  Well I came up a new way so they won't fray.
I backed them on Socr-tape and then ran them through the Grand Calibur.  PERFECT cut every time and they last for such a long time!!! Can you tell I am such a proud and happy girl. :)

Sentimental Sundays #151

Ok...It's Sunday and it is BEAUTIFUL outside!!
The sun is warming up the pavement and the Chico (my Yorkie), has already found a spot to sun bathe in!!

So, I have to say that I am done with Blogger.
I had my post all typed, scheduled and ready to go, but it never posted.
My determination at this point is...I am switching it up!!
Yes, I will be opening a new blog...SOON!!!
I want a really cool, slick, fun, shabby and clean look though.
We will see what happens...but look for a new blog near YOUUUUU!! :)

So on to today's visit.
The girls and I have a fun challenge for you over at Sentimental Sundays this week.
Sonia, from and Sketchy Friday and  SKdigi's, has designed a sketch especially for US!!  YEAH!!!
I love sketches and I LOVE this one, not only that..the team was allowed to play with her cute images too!!
Here's this weeks sketch challenge:
SF-SS
And here is my card using Kitty Kitty #2
I wanted a black cat, when I first started coloring this image.  Then it was way to dark and way to scary looking.  So instead of starting over, I pulled out my acrylic paint and colored in patches of white.
I really like how it came out.  I went back with a semi dry brush and just added little scratches of color.
PERFECT!!!

So...come on by Sentimental Sundays today or later this week and join us.
Take a chance at the sketch, you never know...you might be this weeks lucky winner.
Also, make sure you say hello to the girls too...They are all so amazing!!!

IBS: Flying by to say HI

Good morning everyone-
Well I am here today, on this lovely Thursday morning to share a card that I made for a challenge that is very new to me.  I know that Splitcoaststampers hosted challenges, but I never played or inquired until this week.
WOW...they have great challenges and of course I love sketches, so when I saw this weeks challenge, I had to play.  Here is what I came up with.
For my card today, I am using The Sky's the Limit stamp set from Inspired by Stamping.
I love these stamps and the different array of patterns that each balloon has, along with the beautiful sentiments, which are all so perfect for any occasion.

So I would love to enter this card in the following challenge:

Thank you for stopping by today.
Really do appreciate it.

SweetStamps #113

Happy Tuesday blogging friends.
Are you ready for a Tuesday challenge?
Today at SweetStamps, we are asked to use a "RAINBOW OF COLORS".
For my card today, I am using Tristin and Elizabeth lil Sweeties.
I colored this gorgeous image with my Copic markers.
The patterned paper is from Echo Park, not sure of the name, but it worked perfectly with this image.
I created my own little rose clusters, using the Rose die by Cheery Lynn Designs.
The leaves are from the Flower Embellishment Kit 2 and the border die is also from Cheery Lynn and is one of my all time favorites.
Here is another straight on view of the card.
Is that not the cutest image?  My best friend, had a twin brother and it reminds me of them.
They have a birthday coming soon.

Scribbles Design Monthly Challenge #4

Hello...Hello,
Welcome!!!  Are you ready for another Scribbles Designs Challenge?
I hope you are cause today, we have exciting news about some changes that have been made to the monthly challenge rules.  NOW, you can enter the monthly challenge even if you don't have a Scribbles Designs image.  However, a freebie is offered to you; furthermore, if you do use a Scribbles Designs image, then you have UNLIMITED entries.  If you do not use a Scribbles Designs image, then we ask that you please limit your entry to only 3.

Wooo...So are you ready?
This months theme is:
Shaped Card and/or Fancy Folds
For my card today, I am using Flower 6.  I LOVE the think black outline. It really makes it pop out on any background.  Or by itself as the focal point, non colored.  See I have some ideas for this beauty.
My easel card was created using Spellbinders dies.  As you can see my top is a little top heavy, because of all the layering...LOL.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set.

The last 3 weeks have been sort of busy with lots of unexpected events taking place and Sandy, the owner/artist of Scibbles Designs has been an amazing fiend to me.  She says the right things at the right time and really sent a smile to my heart.  So when I was making this card earlier, I really had her in mind.  Sometimes the people that really matter most are so far away and it is really hard to tell them how much you appreciate them.  So this card is for you Sandy.  Thank you for being who you are, doing what you do and for giving me a chance to be in your life.

......sigh

So what that said, come on over to the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog and check out the AMAZING creations by the design team.  The cards are to die for...My card is nothing in comparison to theirs.

SweetStamps: Monthly Technique Challenge

Hello again-
Hope your Tuesday morning is off to a great start.
Today at SweetStamps, it's time for our monthly challenge.

This months challenge is:
Create your own background paper

I thought this would be a cake walk of a challenge for me, but when I sat down, my mind went completely blank.  I have no idea of what happened and why, but I just didn't like what I was coming up with.
So I started looking for color challenges and figured that would get me going in the right direction.
So I found a color combo that I agreed to stick with and here is what I created.

Now I LOVE this...as different as it for me.  I am really pleased with the way it came out.
I used Braided Flower Border stamp for my background and stamped with three different colors of Memento ink.  I used the Cheery Lynn Design French Flair for the base of my center.  I then cut two set of Sentiment Frames, in white cardstock and placed them on top of one another and in a cross position.
The flower is created with Sweet Williams. The tips of the flowers were rubbed with distress ink, spritzed, dried then layered.
This is a side of view of the card.

Sentimental Sundays #150

Hi everyone-
It's Sunday...Can you believe it.
I've been very quiet this week, because I am dealing with a toothache.
I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon, so we will see what they say.

So today at Sentimental Sundays, we want to see some "TAGS"
Your creation can either be a tag or have a tag.
This week, we are being sponsored by Dilly Bean Digi Stamps and the lovely Megan, allowed the team to pick and play with these amazing images.  For my creation today, I am using Cinnamon #535
It was really hard picking an image as there are SO MANY gorgeous images to choose from.
Isn't she cute!!!  Love the big heart on her dress and that BIG bow on her head.
I really had fun coloring her up and I am so pleased with the way she came together.
The sentiment is also part of package when you purchase Cinnamon.  There are actually 4 sentiments and a trio of hearts.  A gorgeous set.
Yes, that is the back of my tag.  It's also a gift card holder.
HAHA...What you think about that!!!  :)
I printed Cinnamon 4 times and did some fussy cutting and layering.  I tried taking a detail shot, as it is so cool in person.  My hubby thought I had embossed it, until I explained the process to my madness to him.

So swing by Sentimental Sundays and check out what the rest of the design team have created for this weeks theme and sponsors images.  You will LOVE what you see.

If you missed the last three, here are the links:
So today the team is showcasing 3 stamp sets: Big Notes III, Big Wishes II and Washi Tape.
For my card today I am using Big Wishes II and Washi Tape.
I LOVE these new stamps.  OMG...I know I probably said that about each set, but I love sentiments and these stamps are seriously right up my alley.
I really LOVE how this came together.
At first, I didn't think that I was going to be able to pull off using two if the set together.
After much debating and stamping errors, I finally produced this beauty.
Love the overlapping and the bright colors. The sentiment stamped in black really stands out.
Do you like added bits of sequins?  Cool, huh?

SweetStamps #112

Good morning sweeties-
Oh I hope you guys are having great weather where you are at.  It was extremely windy here today.
Now my backyard looks, like it hasn't been tended to in months. LOL

Well it is Tuesday and that means it is time for another challenge over at SweetStamps.
This weeks challenge is:
MORE than one stamp

Here is my sample card for this weeks challenge.
The top part of the card was created by stamping Spotty Dotty Border, in three different Shades Dye ink.
It was pretty hard trying to keep them even, but I think it came out very well.
I then cut a piece of Bazzil cardstock for the bottom portion.
Used some solid colored paper from the Isabelle paper pad to cut the Dancing Doily Lace Border.
Wrapped some seam  binding around the card.  Found a chipboard button in my stash, that worked perfectly with the color scheme and tied the bow.  Then I cut a tag from the TAG 2 die collection from Cheery Lynn in in kraft cardstock and stamped "with Love" in memento ink.

IBS April Release: Tags & Inspirations

Happy Sunday!!
Did you get a chance to see Day 1 of Inspired by Stamping April Release Blog Hop?
If you didn't check it out HERE.
Now it's Day 2  and I am swooning over this new stamp collection.
The possibilities are really endless, with this new collection.
I had so many ideas for these tags, but just kept working the card til I was happy with the results.
Believe me, I am.  I LOVE the distressed shabby chic look of this card.
I edged all my paper with white paint and them walnut stain.  Then I curled and ripped, to give it more distressing.  I used some beautiful Scalloped Border Crochet Trim and Colonial Rose Seam Binding, which coordinated beautifully with the paper.
Did you see the tag, the upper right hand corner.
Stamped on kraft cardstock and embossed with cream/white embossing powder.
It really added and completed this card.
Wait til you see the rest of the tags and sentiments that come in this set.
You will surely love it as much as I do.

Inspired By Stamping will be offering free shipping for 24 hours after the release AND if you purchase the April Bundle, you will receive an automatic 10% discount at checkout.
