Hi blog friends- I need your help

Hi everyone-
I have been tossing an idea back and forth for sometime now and I need your help in determining whether the idea is even worthwhile.

I would like to start offering a monthly kit of embellishments.
I spend LOADS of cash on embellishments....ribbon, pearls, bling etc!!!
I can never get or have enough....and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'm looking at companies like Prima, ZVA Creative, Maya Road, Webster...etc.

This will be EMBELLISHMENTS ONLY!!!!

So I have created a small poll on my side bar and I would love it if you take the time to answer 4 simple questions for me. NOTE: If you answer other; can you please leave me a comment with any additional thoughts or ideas you may have.

When you are all done taking the poll, leave a comment letting me know what you think of the idea of a monthly embellishment kit.

The poll will end 9/1/2011 and I will randomly pick 2 commenter's to receive a goodie bag!!!
Of embellishments of course!!  :0)

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hugs,

  1. I think this is a unique and creative idea! :-) I answered 'other' to the company questions because I don't seek out a specific brand when buying embellishments.

  2. I just lost my job, state cuts, :( So my spending is really limited now.

  3. I go overboard when I purchase embellishments. I usually purchase my embellishments when they are on sale. I need to learn to be better to buy items I know I'm going to use - right now I have so many buttons but many of them are not colors I use, the same goes for flowers. So pretty to look at but seldom used!!!

  7. Different idea for sure. I am interested in different and unique embellishments too. All the companies you mentioned are fine. Not sure how successful just embellishments would be since a lot of people match them to their projects. Of course a lot like me buy them because they love them and then fit them into a project. I really like having a variety on hand to choose from. With the current economy, budget friendly would definitely be better.

  10. I voted. I'm on a fixed income so I have to look for the best deals when the need to purchase embellishments or anything else. Sounds like a good idea. I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with.

  11. I make most of my own embellishments (flowers, pearls, etc) but always have to buy ribbon, eyelets, and buttons (although I'm working on making my own buttons too). :) I think this kit would be great but I tend to shop thrifty when it comes to my embellies and only buy on sale or if it's a really good deal so for me the price would need to be right... Also I tend to do a lot of mass production cards so the kits would need to contain a fair bit or have an easy way to purchase more of the same as there is nothing more frustrating than finding one you really like and not being able to get more of it.

  12. I've just graduated - so you can imagine how tight money is. I can go months without buying a thing and then every once in a while I go a little 'wild'. Never really thought about this on a monthly basis sorta thing though!

I wish you luck! :) xo

  14. Hey! I love this idea but wondering what each kit would consist of? I kinda go crazy buying items if I really like them. Then I don't need any for a long time. I do find that selecting good quality ribbon is my downfall. I put an other on there for the embellishments I buy from most often. I buy a lot of Making Memories and American Crafts. It depends if I see something I like I guess. Lol! Thx! Good luck!

  20. I tend to buy my embellies in spurts...not regularly, but when I see something I want, I will usually buy it! :) This sounds interesting - can't wait to see what you come up with!

  21. I don't think you have given enough information about what you are thinking of doing. What is going to make your kit better than what we can buy on our own?

  22. Hello, I just voted. I buy in spurts. But if I can afford and I like I go for it. Best wishes with your new venture!

  23. I think this is a great idea. I use to belong to a kit club that was strictly embellishments and loved them!!! Sadly though they closed down. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
