{IBS} Happy Mother's Day

Hello again!!!
I'm sorry to be filling your mailboxes with all these posts this morning!! I fell behind due to some personal issues/dilemma occurring.  So everything was done, just couldn't find the time to get it all pictured and posted.  :/  This will also be my last Inspired by Stamping post, until I return in June.
For this card today, I did a bit of masking with the Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label Dies 1
I used the biggest die in the set and it up of printer paper.  The reason I use printer paper when masking, it's because it is then and does not leave the incomplete impression, that you normally get if you used cardstock.
I used Mother's Day Bouquet stamps set for the background and embossed with detailed white embossing powder.  I then took my embossing pen and traced around the masking frame with it and embossed it again.  I think that adding that frame just finishes the design and creates separation between the next frame.
To finish it off, I cut the next small Fancy Label Dies 1 and embossed just the edges.
I stamped the sentiment which is from Mother's Day Bouquet in black versafine ink and added dimensional liquid pearls to the space between the two frames.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a great afternoon.

Hugs.

{IBS} Just A Note

Calypso here today, to share a very pretty note pad project with you.   Now, while I love making altered items or all sort, I especially love making items that I can give someone and have them use the gift as intended  and for a long time.
Today, I am sharing a note pad that I made using the Vintage Pieces stamp set. I found a canvas board and trimmed regular printer paper into 3 3/4" x 5", which were then inked with distress ink.  Stamping the "Just a Note" sentiment on all 16 pages, was the fun part!! I had to use my stampamajig for this, or else I would extremely crocked!!  LOL
Turning to my Lilac Spring paper pad, I trimmed a piece down to 4" x 6" and adhered it to the back of the canvas.  I adhered magnet strips to the back, so that it could be displayed or hung on a refrigerator. I added a pencil loop, so to always having a writing piece handy!!  :)
After all the pages were stamped, inked and ready aligned, I punched two holes through all the papers and a piece of acetate.  I passed  piece of ribbon from the back and tied a bod in the front!!
So refilling it would be a cinch to do!!
Hope you've enjoyed my project today!!

I would like to share this project in the following challenge(s):

Thanks,
Calypso

{IBS} Sew Lovely

Morning-
I am back to share a gorgeous card I made for a special someone, who has a birthday this month.
I'm so jealous of all that share and celebrate their birthdays in the Winter, Spring and Summer!! Bright bold and colorful!!
For my card today, I am using the beautiful Vintage Thread and Vintage Dress Form
I stamped my images using Colorbox Chalk ink, then did some fussy cutting.  Inked the edges with Vintage distress ink.
I had some beautiful paper from Carta Bella; Sew Lovely, that seemed completely fitting for these stamps sets. Love the beautiful colors and images!!
Here is a close up and beautiful flower cluster.  Love the metal ribbon slider.
Well I hope you are having a great week.  See you again real soon.

Hugs,
Calypso

For my project today, I give myself a challenge to create a layout.
I love canvas....So I thought I would try my  hand at a page layout.
So I found a 12 x 12 chipboard and wrapped a piece of untreated canvas around it.  I stitched the edges and got to work with my gelatos.
As you can see, I had lots of fun with my gesso and gelatos!!  :)
Once everything was dried, I pulled out my Inspired by Stamping sets created a collage background.  I used the following stamps to create the background:
When I started this canvas, I had no plan or direction.  I really had no idea!!
I also had no pictures!!!  LOL...  I know!!!  As I left the canvas to dry, I went outside and noticed how beautiful some of my flowers were blooming.  I did  a little photo shoot and close ups of some of these beauties.
I used my Die Versions Houndstooth Background die, which I cut 3 times and layered them. I matted it on white and black cardstock. Then I layered my pictures on top of that beautiful die pattern back drop.  I love the way the Express Edge: Memories  completes the look and feel of the layout.
Your next stop on the hop is Nupur Priya blog  and if you ever get lost in the hop you can always go to Die-Versions Blog for the complete order list.

{SS} #166: Sweets

Morning sweeties!!
How was your Easter weekend???
We had a nice relaxing weekend, which was very needed for all of us!!  :)
So I worked a bit in the garden and did a little catching up on my posts.  So it was nice!!

Today at SweetStamps we have a new challenge for you!!
This weeks challenge is all about:
SWEETS
So for my creation, I created a jelly bean bag, that was included in my son's Easter basket!!
I'm glad I did too otherwise they would have been spilled all over the floors and Chico; our dog, would have been super hyper!!!  LOL
I used the very cute Jellybean stamp set and SweetStamps ink spots to create the background on the of the label.  I love the clean layering of the mixed colors.  I them laid a piece of parchment paper over the image, to tone down the colors.  I then stamped the sentiment using Memento ink.

{FTH} April SOTM: Spring Medley

Good morning!!
I am feeling a bit defeated today!!!  Things are just not going my way today!!
The morning started off great, but as we head into the afternoon things are progressing into an extremely overwhelming day.
So while I have 3 more posts to write, I am jumping on to share a card I made using April's SOTM: Spring Medley from; From The Heart.
I really love these block images and while you can color and display as is, I wanted to do something different.  So I edited and resized the images a bit. so that I could use them on my waterfall card.
Just love making interactive cards.  This image fits this multi-folded card perfectly. I also had to use these beautiful papers from American Crafts.
So don't forget that this is a progressive challenge.
If you missed out, you can still play along with the challenge by purchasing the image. Then you can enter the challenge and receive next month’s digi free. OR if you spend $10 in the From The Heart Stamps store this month, you can enter code TULIPS to receive as Spring Medley a free gift.
You have til the end of the month to enter!!!

{SS} #165: Anything Goes + Embossing

Morning sweeties!!
Are you ready for Easter?  What are your Easter family traditions?
We head over to grandma's house to do our Easter egg hunt and dinner!!

Today at SweetStamps we have a new challenge for you!!  It's also a combined challenge since it's the 15th of the month, it will also coincide with our Monthly Technique Challenge!!
So this weeks challenge is:
ANYTHING GOES
April's Monthly Technique Challenge is:
EMBOSSING
I really love these ARTSYfARTSY stamps.  I used the Chalkboard Flowers to create the background and embossed in detail white embossing powder.  I then laid a piece of parchment paper on top of it!!
I stamped and embossed the butterfly the same way.  I received some happy mail today and it included some yummy Wink of Stella pens!!!  LOVE!!!  I tried coloring the butterfly with about 4 of the colors, but the color does not show well on black cardstock, as it does on white.
Here is a shot of the finished inside of the card, as well as a better shot of the colors on the butterfly!!
It really does look prettier in person. The shot below still doesn't do the pens any justice, but you can see a little shimmer.

{FTH} Sketch #61 w/ a tWiSt: Coloring on Kraft

Good morning-
I wanted to share a card I made for this weeks challenge over at From the Heart.
I was suppose to post this on Monday, but got a little side track when I saw the new Faithful Friends, that were added to the store!!  Have you seen them?  OH MY GOODNESS!!
Check them out HERE, they are ALL so cute!!!
So for this card I am using this weeks sketch AND tWiSt challenge; which is coloring on Kraft.
One of my FAVORITES, so of course you know I had to take the challenge!! ;)
I am using "Full of Beans Birdbrain"!!  Aren't they cute!!!  I really enjoyed coloring them.
I normally tend to color on kraft with color pencils, but for this image I tried watercolour pencils!!
I love the results they provide!! I had to switch my thinking and technique a little, so that I wouldn't peeled the cardstock.  It seems that I only eat jelly beans during Easter!!  I'm not sure why, maybe because the colors are look more yummy!!  The pinks and purples...versus during Halloween!! :)
Here is a closeup of the image!!1  Cute right!!!
Here is this weeks sketch challenge, which you still have an entire day left to enter!!
So I hope you will take either challenge and join us!!

I would like to share this card in the following challenges:
