It is time for another themed challenge over at SweetStamps. 

This weeks challenge is:

ROSES

Oh how I love this card!!!

SweetStmaps has some of the most amazing Rose images in the store. 

This one,  Rose Oval is the newest addition to my collection. 

Colored with copics and a bit of glitter glue added to the wings of the butterfly. 

I also used the new SweetCuts  die, behind the rose image.  Really love the look that it gives the entire card. 

Overall the card is very simple, but I kept it that way to keep the focus on the roses.

*From the Heart Sketch #24

Hello and happy Monday to you all!!

Hope you had a fan-tab-ulous weekend. 

We had a great one here.  The boys went for a 40 mile bike ride and came back exhausted and hurt!! 

Buddy practiced camping at his grandparents house over the weekend.  He loved it.  He woke up this morning on the side of the tent!! LOL  He fell off the air mattress, sometime in the evening!!!  

Today, at From the Heart, we have a new weekly sketch for you. 

I know Father's Day is over, but I've had this image colored for weeks and it kept screaming at me!!

So I put this weeks sketch to great use!

For my card today, I am using Necktie Banner

Check out those cool ties!!!  Which one would you wear?!?

I used some fun paper by Fancy Pants: Swagger.  Love the color palette and patterns of the entire pack. 

Image is colored using Copics, cut with oval die and edged inked with distress ink.

Then matted on kraft cardstock which was die cut with romance oval and ink with distress ink as well. 

I followed the sketch exactly as shown, I just changed the placement of my brads.

Good morning and happy Sunday!!!

Me and baby Tommy are just relaxing bed, reading Dr. Seuss books. 

Can you believe my munchkin is going to be 9 months next week!!

AND......he's already taking his first 3 steps!!!  OMG.

He is growing up so fast. (insert sigh and tear)

So today at Sentimental Sundays, we have a fun challenge for you.

This week we are asking to see some girl power!! We want to see only GIRL images. 

It's all about us this week....Sorry guys!!! :)

She was so much fin to color, although I struggled with hair, I think I did ok!!  

Love that braid, because I braid my hair the same way sometimes!! :)

Good morning fellow scrappers!!

Today, I am sharing a card I made using IBS: Trendy Circle Sentiments

I really love this set a lot!!!  It has sentiments for every any reason you may need to make a card for. 

I find myself reaching for it a lot. 

For my card today, it's a bit out of my norm or comfort. 

I make cards, like I dress myself....Very simple, everything coordinates and safe, unless it's time to dress it up, for an evening out and about. 

So today, I took a plunge and joined Moxie Fab Challenge: Mixy Matchy challenge. 

Those example pictures were so beautiful, but I would never even dare to wear any of those outfits together.  Oh...nooo....no....!! 

I would take a skirt or blouse here and there, but I would I would match it with a well coordinating top!!

Again...playing it safe!!! :) 

I really like how it came out!!!

Lots of patterns that's for sure.  I'm not sure if it shows well in the photo or not, but I added a jean print paper and matted the patterned papers on that!!!  :)  You know what they say, anything goes with jeans. LOL... I know playing it safe again!! :)

*Stamp and Create: Summer Fun

Hello everyone-

Is it officially Summer yet? 

Today IS the first day of SUMMER!!!!

YEAH!!!

At Stamp and Create w/Magnolia, we are starting off Summer with a brand new challenge:

Summer Fun (Outdoor Activities)

What is a Summer themed image?:

Flowers, Butterflies, Sports, Vacation, Sunshine, Outdoors, Father's Day, Water/Beach, Birthdays. Colors are Bright and Vibrant.

For my card today, I am using Tilda in Key Largo.

I thought she is perfect for this Summer fun challenge, because she has that cute summer dress, hair pulled back in little piggy's and she's found the most precious seashell.   Perfect right!! :) 

I did some fun stitching in the background, to kind of fill the empty space.  

I added sequins (which are very popular right now), to the corners and added pearl dimensions to the center.

The banner reads: "YOU FILL MY WORLD WITH SUNSHINE"

Now, onto my project today . . . . 

Isn't that box, just filled with layers of goodness!!
Love everything about this and I am so pleased with the results.
Well I thought I would show you how I made my flowers using these gorgeous velvet buttons.

 I stamped Cabbage Rose in Rich Cocoa ink unto Kraft tissue paper.
I covered the entire sheet just stamping randomly.
I then folded the tissue paper in 4 times.

Once I ran it through the die cut machine, I separated them and assembled. 

The tissue paper is very delicate so, when separating be very careful and gentle.

I think the idea is great, as I am always looking for ways to use my stamps.

Now, in my home...I am the only girl!!  :) 

Counting my dog, there are four different loving boyish personalities that run this household.

So I know I am always, always, looking for a perfect card to give for those little moments and occasions. 

I love clean and simple cards and that is what I aim towards when making my masculine cards. 

Since they are all into fishing, I thought this card would be perfect for  one of them.

*SweetStamps Monthly Challenge

Hello everyone-

It's the 15th of the month and that means it's time for another technique challenge over at SweetStamps.

This months challenge, I LOVE and it's so much fun. 

The theme for this months challenge is:

CHALKBOARD TECHNIQUE

I had so much fun with my card and love the way it came out as well. 

The image I am using today is called: Chalkboard.  How appropriate for this weeks challenge right?!?!

I had school on the mind, since today was my sons last day!!! I say that with a HUGE sigh of relief too!! :) 

I edged all my patterned paper with antique linen distress ink, before sewing it all down to the Scarlet cardstock.  I love this patterned paper and had tons of scrap, so I decided on creating a block card!! 

Love it!!!  I inked the Chalkboard stamp with SweetStamps white dye ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I was planning on coloring the little figures, but decided that I loved it, just the way it stands.
